How it all started
Established in 2002; East coast transplants, Fish and Soni Bartlett, had been coaching in Utah since early 1996, starting new clubs and programs across the state. Both coached at Jordan High School. Fish coached from 1997-2006, and Soni from 2000-2007 where she coached her teams to 4 straight High School State Championships before moving on to be the head coach at the new Westminster College Women’s program.
Both were Utah Lacrosse Association board members for over 14 years. Soni was the Executive Director of the ULA for 5 years before working at Tribal West full time. The Bartlett's currently run Utah Mamaci, a girls HS travel and developmental program with 5 teams and over 125 members. They also run a great fall girls HS seven's league. For the past 13 years, Tribe Lacrosse has run a boys and girls camp in July for players covering grades K through 12, bringing in top coaches from across the country to teach Utah’s future stars.
The mission of Tribal West Lacrosse is to be the premiere destination store for all of Utah’s lacrosse needs, becoming the best lacrosse store in the western states. We will provide goods and services for all levels of play, covering beginners through advanced. It is our goal to provide the most reliable customer service and satisfaction.
Meet the Team
Not much more to say about this duder. Fish was a MASSIVE contributing factor in getting Utah lacrosse to the place it is today. Whether he's dropping a line in the water, or spraying powder on a blue bird day, this guy does it all.
Commonly known as the Giraffe amongst friends, Kevin is another Upstate New York native from Clifton Park, NY. He was a 3 year starter on attack and Captain his Senior year at Shenendehowa High School. A back injury cut his playing career short Freshman year of college. After Graduating from SUNY Brockport with a dual major in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology he move moved to Park City in 2012 and found that lacrosse had already taken roots in Utah. After getting involved with coaching youth lacrosse and reigniting the love for the game there was no looking back. Since then he has coached hundreds of kids in Utah at youth programs, camps, clubs and more. Keep an eye out for the tall guy in the shop and on sidelines everywhere!
